Recommend a Friend – Referral Bonus Scheme
Terms & Conditions
- Promoter
The promoter is Alternative Energy with a registered address at 2 Dooish Road, Dromore, Omagh, Co. Tyrone, BT78 3AQ (“the Promoter”).
- Eligibility
The referral scheme is open to existing customers of the Promoter aged 18 years or over (“Referrers”).
Referred friends (“Referees”) must be new customers who have not previously used the Promoter’s services.
The scheme is open to residents of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland only.
Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are excluded.
- How the Referral Scheme Works
Existing customers may recommend a friend by:

- ensuring the Referee clearly states the Referrer’s full name at the time of appointment booking or enquiry,
- OR, emailing info@alternativeenergy.ie with the Referee’s name and contact details.
It is the Referrer’s responsibility to ensure that the referral details are provided accurately and before the Referee completes their first qualifying transaction.
- Qualifying Referral
A referral will be deemed successful when:
- the referred customer proceeds with the installation of a new solar photovoltaic (PV) system including a solar inverter supplied and installed by the Promoter, and
- payment has been received in full, and
- a system handover has been completed.
Self-referrals are not permitted.
Installations that consist solely of battery storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment, or upgrades or additions to an existing system do not qualify for the referral bonus.
- Referral Bonus
For each successful referral, the Referrer will receive £200/€200 (“Referral Bonus”).
The Referral Bonus will be issued within 30 days of the qualifying referral being confirmed.
The Referral Bonus is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no alternative is available unless stated otherwise.
- Limits
A maximum of 5 Referral Bonuses may be earned per Referrer per calendar year, unless otherwise stated.
Only one Referral Bonus may be claimed per Referee.
- Verification & Fraud
The Promoter reserves the right to withhold or withdraw Referral Bonuses where it reasonably believes that the scheme has been abused, including but not limited to:

- false or misleading referrals
- multiple referrals for the same individual
- attempts to manipulate or circumvent the scheme
The Promoter’s decision is final.
- Data Protection
Personal data provided as part of the referral process will be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
Referrers must ensure they have the Referee’s consent to share their contact details with the Promoter.
- Scheme Changes or Termination
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the referral scheme at any time without prior notice.
Referrals submitted prior to termination will be honoured in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
- General
The Referral Bonus Scheme is a promotional offer and does not constitute a contractual right.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for referrals not successfully recorded due to technical or administrative issues.
- Governing Law
For participants resident in Northern Ireland, these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
For participants resident in the Republic of Ireland, these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland.
